From Depression to Discovery Since the pandemic grounded us, I fell into a depression, unable to dive in the vast oceans abroad. Seeking an outlet, I turned to the local streams. There, I discovered beautiful little crabs—a microcosm of life I had previously overlooked. I became obsessed. Every week, I hauled my gear to different spots, observing their ecology. It took months of attempts, waiting for the water, the light, and the creature to align. Finally, I captured this perfect reflection. At the exact moment the shutter clicked, I knew: I got it.
